It’s actually more beneficial to me, because I can’t jump rope for shit.


Running from an imaginary lion is much more beneficial for your health than running from a real one.


Close, but technically no. Cardio, yes. Or pretty close. It still takes more energy (even if a miniscule amount) to hold a rope which could affect oxygen consumption. Coordination? Actually holding and swinging a rope with actual weight and momentum, and the timing of skipping so that your feet/legs don’t hit the rope aren’t there. It might seem negligible, but if you’re going quickly or having the rope pass under twice, I would imagine it’s not easy to mime perfectly.


Then we can skip the rope altogether.
