I always assumed (as I think most people would) that their security would be pretty tight. I’m not being sarcastic or ironic when I say this shocks me. I’m a private sector nobody, and I have to login to as many as 3 different VPNs with 12 – 16 character passwords that change every 30 – 60 days. I’m on a very short list of people who have access to raw data, and the number of hoops I have to jump through in order to do that makes me dread the times that I have to do it. The data in question is just bullshit data too, not hacking tools or even proprietary schematics, etc.

Get ready for a new and improved round of ransomware brought to you by our very own CIA!

Wasn’t this reported over 3 years ago with Vault 7?

My name is Michael Westin. I used to be a spy…

This is why we should never let the government force us to use encryption they have a master key for. That and they’ll abuse the hell out of it.
