While I any Neptune mission that takes place in my lifetime would be a great thing, I would like most to see a Neptune orbiter mission.

The Classics nerd in can’t stop giggling at this headline. It’s too perfect.

I’m wondering if a spacecraft could use Neptune’s atmosphere to make and aerobreaking maneuver. That’ll save a lot of propellant.

Couple of questions, if anyone has answers: If launched, this would become the sixth spacecraft to achieve Solar System escape velocity, right? Second, I’m guessing they’d probably try and do flybys of Kuiper Belt objects after the Neptune flyby (a la New Horizons) if they could, right?

I couldn’t help but read the title in a sarcastic voice
