Also a fantastic Philip Glass soundtrack.

Important to note that this is the reversed version. Istaqsinaayok. The original version is also available somewhere on the internet, but I’m too lazy to dig out the link right now :/(

I love this doc. It’s especially interesting to watch keeping in mind that this was before digital cameras, GoPros, drones, smart phones… They shot all this with big heavy film cameras.

This film is fantastic. Saw it in the eighties when I was young and even then realized the important message it was trying to convey. For me, the film was really able to illustrate the feeling of existential dread through its use of sped up and slowed down scenes along with soundtrack. We are truly the enemy of the earth. There is also a sequel called powaqqatsi and I can’t really remember what that’s about.
