I believe we currently live in a time where, if this turns out to be a real life form, that we would handle the news well Maybe it’ll be the push we need?

I didn’t have aliens on Venus on my 2020 bingo. Mars, yes. Venus, no. Anyone with Venus on their card?

This is the best part of the article. This is why i love science. <3 “It’s very hard to prove a negative,” says Clara Sousa-Silva, research scientist in MIT’s Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences (EAPS). “Now, astronomers will think of all the ways to justify phosphine without life, and I welcome that. Please do, because we are at the end of our possibilities to show abiotic processes that can make phosphine.”

It would be fascinating to find out how it was made or how it got there. Might help us figure stuff out, might not but we are curious monkeys and I hope we at least try. It why we are here.

It was always going to be microbes first. The odds of us accidentally crashing into a flying saucer or contacting some intelligent race has always been next to none. He’ll yeah they’re still considered aliens though!!
