Teeth can become fossils too, y’know. At that point they’re not really bones and teeth, but minerals (rocks, essentially) in the shape of bones and teeth, with maybe some leftover chemical elements that wouldn’t be present if they hadn’t originally been bones and teeth to differentiate them from the surrounding rock.
