Think he would choose to read one of the 6 books being pulled and not one of the 60 something that is still available. *edited hundred to 60 for more accuracy

Does Kevin McCarthy not know that it was Seuss’ own estate that did it and it’s not anything related to censorship? Or is he just an idiot?

Green Eggs and Ham being a book that the publisher is still publishing, that can still be bought practically anywhere, or borrowed from your local library. That nobody is calling to be pulled from store shelves.

> The six titles pulled from publication are And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, If I Ran the Zoo, McElligot’s Pool, On Beyond Zebra!, Scrambled Eggs Super!, and The Cat’s Quizzer. > However, as Green Eggs and Ham has not been affected by the decision, people were confused as to why Mr McCarthy had chosen that book for his bizarre reading. It’s an easier read. He’s a moron.

Seuss wrote 60+ books. He was embarrassed by the racial depictions in some of them. The publisher finally decided to stop printing those. Meanwhile Republicans are losing their goddamn minds over it and not understanding the context at all because they ***don’t have anything else to offer.***
