It looks vaguely bluish. I know Vishnu is often depicted with bluish skin. Is this just a coincidence of the stone color?

Judging by the time period the Vishnu sculpture was dated to and the location it was found in (Karnataka) this would have come from the Delhi Sultanate? I could be wrong, but the location and time period seem to fit.

I couldn’t see anything mentioning the size of and the pictures are unhelpful. Does anyone know how big it is?

Sculptors also discard sculptures if and when they notice something off. essentially, a sculpture of a diety has to be to perfection, in all regards, dimensions, ornaments, scale, texture etc. anything off, and the sculpture is unworthy of worship, or even just display on temple walls.
