I used about 12oz of cheese (1.50/bag)= 2.25 10 whole wheat tortillas= 1.69 3 bell snacking peppers= about .25 I have about 20 portions (half a quesadilla) all for about 4.25 so about .21 per meal! And hidden veggies!

Toddlers like finger food, things they can eat while doing things. I kept cheese sticks, crackers, apple wedges, carrot sticks, ( I steamed the carrots to soften them until the child was older ), celery logs, (celery sticks stuffed with peanut butter or cream cheese and topped by raisins ) and frozen grapes on hand. Funny thing was, my hubby, who liked to snack on junk, started eating the kid’s food. Seeing Daddy eat these thing, reinforced my son eating them. Later, I’d add riced cauliflower or spaghetti squash to spaghetti sauces, chilis, and soups just to add more veggies. No one even noticed.

Lol. You genius.

We do the same. Add some black beans mashed up a bit to get some added protein.

When my daughter was a toddler, I made her quesadillas with whole wheat tortillas and frozen chopped spinach. The first time she had a quesadilla in a restaurant she was pissed it wasn’t brown with leaves. 😂❤️
