The title of post suggests having low testosterone makes you more vulnerable to COVID-19. That is not what the study suggests. All the study says is that once you have COVID-19, a low amount of testosterone is associated with higher severity. It is unclear which way around the association goes. It’s possible that because you have a more severe illness you create less testosterone. It’s also possible that due to a low amount of testosterone, you become more ill.

I’m not a scientist and I’m not sure how to interpret this. It seems to suggest that people with Low Testosterone would be hit harder with Covid. If my interpretation is correct, what does this mean for men who are on testosterone replacement? They have normal levels of testosterone (maybe not LH), but that’s because of exogenous testosterone.

Does this affect men who had covid, but weren’t hospitalized?
