LPT never tell a stranger to smile. No matter how well intentioned the comment you are telling them how to feel and it comes across as “You shouldn’t be having a bad day in public you’re making everyone feel bad.”

Getting told to smile by random men is why I refuse to stop wearing my mask in public. 16 months in and not one comment about my face or lack of smile. It’s glorious.


I mean, in general, unless it is somehow going to save a life…don’t tell strangers what to do, period.


And most of all: my face is not here for your decoration. Don’t tell me how it should look, my face sits how it bloody wants to sit.
