Space feels so much more alien when it’s narrated and animated in this style for some reason


I recall that in “2001: A Space Odyssey” the astronauts were supposed to go to Saturn but it was too difficult to replicate the rings convincingly so Kubrick and Clarke went with Jupiter instead.


It’s interesting to see how much our knowledge has increased in a short span of time. Video says that Jupiter has 14 moons but now we know that it has 79 moons.


I just love the wobbly soundtrack. Back in the day – ’60’s-’70’ – these kinds of presentations were shown in classrooms on 16mm projectors and their audio often sounded like this. Makes me feel all warm inside!
