You can solve this problem by not owning Amazon Echo. Being poor helps me for once đŸ™‚

From the article: >> How to opt-out and disable Amazon Sidewalk >If you do not want your devices to be part of Amazon Sidewalk, you can disable the service at any time. >For Amazon Echo devices, you can disable Amazon Sidewalk by following these steps: >Open your Amazon Alexa App. Select the More option in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. Go to Settings > Account Settings > Amazon Sidewalk. Set the Amazon Sidewalk toggle to disabled. Close the Amazon Alexa app. For Ring devices, you can disable Amazon Sidewalk by following these steps: >Open the Ring app. Tap the three-lined icon to open the menu and go to Control Center > Amazon Sidewalk. Set the Amazon Sidewalk toggle to disabled. Close the app. Once you disable Amazon Sidewalk, Amazon will not enable it again without your permission. Honestly ridiculous. I am not interested in sharing my internet even if they promise to limit it to <500mb a month at 80kb/s. No fucking way. That’s how they get it in the door as they slowly up its limits and bandwidth.

Is this just the US or globally? I’m UK based and want to know if it’s coming here but there’s nothing specific on-line (that I could spot) so I can let my partner know to opt-out

What about “Share your neighbor’s internet with you, how to opt in”?? I’m down for free internet.

How much is Amazon paying to steal your bandwidth. I’m seriously disgusted with where this is all going. I used to be all about new tech. I’ve switched to a Raspberry Pi for my desktop and am starting to look for other such devices for phone and everything. I don’t want to support these savages at all.
