>The Confederate flag has long been a divisive symbol of the Civil War. While some say it stands for history and patriotism, others say it stands for hate and racism. How… *the fuck*… can anyone with a brain think that it’s “patriotic” to fly the battle flag of an enemy army that committed treason, seceded from, and declared war *against the United States* specifically to continue owning people as property? If you’re one of those people, there are only three reasons you can possibly support that: 1. You’re criminally ignorant, and you didn’t pass fifth grade, 2. You’re legitimately mentally handicapped, 3. You support slavery, treason, and enemies of the United States. Numbers 1 and 2 are not your fault. But if you don’t fall into one of those categories, the only one left is #3. There’s nothing else. And if that’s the case, from a Marine Corps veteran whose family has served the country since the Revolutionary War: *fuck you*. Get out of America.

I completely forgot my school proudly waved the Confederate flag until I was watching an old video of my brother’s elementary school Christmas show. The look on his fiancé’s face said it all. We’re from Ohio…

I’m in western PA and morons still have Trump AND Confederate flags. So ur rooting for *two* fucking lovers! One of my Maga neighbors (who has a giant Trump sign still) has a teen who put up a small pride flag in June. I felt so proud of her yet am scared for what she must endure. Edit: Autocorrect, should say losers but I’ll keep it

To the Trumpers who push the lie that the Confederate battle flag is merely a symbol of regional pride, here is a question and answer: Q: What did the Confederacy stand for? A: Rather than interpreting, let’s go directly to the words of the Confederacy’s Vice President, Alexander Stephens. In his “Cornerstone Speech” on March 21, 1861, he stated “The Constitution… rested upon the equality of races. This was an error. Our new government is founded upon exactly the opposite idea; its foundations are laid, its corner-stone rests, upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery subordination to the superior race is his natural and normal condition.
