… so looks like my Vancouver trip should happen in September if I am looking for a reasonably priced hotel. Maybe I should just hang on until Canadian Thanksgiving


This should significantly improve the quality of the average American tourist visiting Canada.


As a Canadian citizen, I think this is fine. *HOWEVER,* if US travellers lie about or present false vaccination status they should have the ever-loving book thrown at them. And banned for life.


Here’s an update from the CBC: Ottawa now says that — starting Aug. 9 at 12:01 a.m. ET. — fully vaccinated U.S. citizens and permanent residents living in that country will be able to visit Canada without having to quarantine for two weeks.
