LPT: When you buy a new plant, take a photo of it with the tag visible so you have the name of the plant handy if you need to search for care tips in the future

Bold of you to assume the tag says anything other than “Tropical Houseplant”


Bonus: you can look back on how tiny it was!


I don’t name my plants until I get them home, and get to know them a bit. I made the mistake of naming Steve at the store, and she told me her name is Sarah when we started talking. Most of my plants are rescued, or propped off home depots floor. So they mostly already know their names.


Google lens is pretty decent at doing a photo search for things, I always use it for spiders, even though thers only one I’m my area that bite would hurt a little and none that really do any harm..
