That’s because you have better judgment and are physically not as able to be taken advantage of. Makes sense to me.


Well as a kid you are naive and don’t know how the world works. Parents are afraid strangers might rob you or scam you. As an adult they at least expect you to handle all this and go mingle with strangers.


Sensible parents don’t tell their children to fear strangers.


Right? When I was like 5 years old, my parents wouldn’t let me drive a car but now that I’m over 40, they want me to drive everywhere. Soooo weird!
