Last month I bought a telescope and a light pollution filter to try my hand at some deep space imaging. I’ve been shooting wide field astro for a few years now and felt it was time to try something new. This is my 5th attempt at it and I finally got somewhere of a Hubble palette look. My previous images we all deep red due to the narrow bandwidth of the filter. I have to say I’m hooked. It’s quite a steep learning curve but with the basic gear I have at the moment I’m really happy with this. Can’t wait to try more. This is a result of 4hrs acquisition time with calibration frames also. 80x3min exposures f4.9 ISO1000 unguided 15 darks 20 flats 20 dark flats 20 bias Nikon d810 astro mod William Optics Redcat 51 Optolong L Extreme Skywatcher Star Adventurer Stacked in astro pixel processor Edited in photoshop

anticlockwise turn of about 120° would be nice

Might be a stupid question, but why is it called the North America Nebula? Edit: nvm i figured it out
