Despite the headline, the article makes clear that their plan is not to resurrect the woolly mammoth, but to birth elephants with a few unique traits.


But why? … Why not use this technology to bring back a species that recently became extinct because of human effects?


Hmm. Not quite as cool as dinosaurs, but I’d still watch the movie about how this goes horribly wrong.


I think it would be better to start with tasmanian tiger or something similar since they recently went extinct and the environment is still pretty similar
