Not just blue cheese and beer. They were also eating steak and liver. A nice dinner of grilled steak, grilled liver topped with blue cheese and washed down with beer. That would be a solid meal at a restaurant


Hasn’t beer been around since at least the bronze age, if not the stone age? I saw a neat hypothesis that brewing beer was one of the motivators that turned humans from hunter/gatherers to farmers. And I know there are ancient pictures detailing Sumerians drinking beer.


Just cuz they’re primitive does not mean they can’t appreciate the good stuff..
