Hi, I have bipolar depression, and a lot of commenters need to chill. It’s a good tip. Of course it doesn’t fucking cure depression. But being in a clean room vs a dirty room does feel better when you can manage it.


Cleaning helps distract me from feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression. And it’s actually productive and improves my mood later on.


Wow, you are full of excellent advice. Have you considered that maybe I CAN’T clean my home BECAUSE I’m depressed? Telling this to someone who has depression is just like saying, “you have depression? Well, just be happy! Problem solved!”


As a mental health nurse, I’d say that this post and your replies… sort of indicate that you need to learn more
