The entire syllabus of my junior year high school English class was comprised of books that had been banned somewhere in the US at some point: Lord of the Flies, Huck Finn, Autobiography of Malcom X, Catcher in the Rye, Death of a Salesman and more.


That’s really neat! I love when something is outlawed bc the black market creates so many opportunities, look at prohibition, or the drug trade. And books are even better than both those!


My daughter started a banned book club in her high school many years ago. Proud of her!


Pretty sure that’s the plot of Fahrenheit 451, a not very uplifting dystopian novel/movie.
