Well, my brain sucks at this. In fact, I think it’s actively encouraging unwanted memories to emerge. Especially if I’m otherwise having a great day. My brain is a total jerk.


That region in my brain works about as well as the one that produces serotonin


I’m curious if this alarm system is turned off in those with PTSD, or similar conditions where they relive the memories randomly by triggers.


So THIS is why I can’t remember most of my life
