I don’t get it .. if someone could please explain? ah I get it the seam that runs VERTICALLY down the cup, rather than horizontal! first assume looking at the cup from an aerial view so you see a circle. op is saying the plastic cap/top of the paper cup of your coffee cup should be put on such that the drink hole should be opposite to the vertical seam of the cup. if not, one should rotate the plastic cap along the Y axis until so before placing the lid on. purely because of the seam it produces a less perfect seal, thus when liquid is there, there is possibility for leakage.
